Recognized CPC Program Core Module providers will be listed on this page as the Core Modules become available. Interested in developing Core Modules? View the recognition specifications.

NOTE: One Core Module from each of the four content areas is required in each four-year CPC cycle. Core Module credits also cross-count as Class A credits, as they are both prior-approved and include an assessment. Beginning in 2020/2021—whenever the CRNA's second 4-year CPC cycle begins (for all CRNAs initially certified prior to 8/1/2016)--the Core Modules will become a required component of the CPC Program.

The CPC Core Modules developed by the AANA are designed to help busy nurse anesthetists stay up to date with evidence-based content in an interactive self-paced, online continuing education activity. The Core Modules cover four major topics:

  • Airway Management Techniques
  • Anesthesia Equipment and Technology
  • Applied Clinical Pharmacology
  • Human Physiology and Pathophysiology

Within each topic the learner can review interactive content, interesting visuals, video simulations and engaging knowledge check activities. Stay up to date with the latest technology in patient care while earning up to 17 Class A CE credits when you take all four modules. Find out more via the AANA Learn website and watch AANA's Core Modules Video demo.
